Sarah September 2022
Sarah was a huge support to me through (what I thought would be) a really scary and unknown transitional period in my life. While the coaching was clear and structured and provided me with some incredible tools that I continue to use in many aspects of my life, Sarah also created a comfortable, warm, judge-free and understanding environment. The goals that we worked together to create felt challenging but achievable and I can confidently say that I surpassed my own expectations in achieving these goals (and more!) I can’t thank Sarah enough for the experience!

I had taken on a more senior role at work but lacked the confidence to know if I could step up to the task. Sarah really helped me to draw out my positive qualities and build techniques to focus on these. I feel more confident and assertive now and have started to make changes I didn’t think I could do. Anxiety has always been a large part of my life and although a work in progress I already feel better at managing this and know what to do when this gets the better of me. Thanks so much Sarah, you have really helped me both at work and at home!

“Sarah very kindly offered me life-coaching for free, something she had offered to other people my age over lockdown. I had a very set way of doing things in my life, I was very harsh on myself which caused huge amounts of anxiety and a lack of motivation. I came into life coaching with an open- mind, something which is crucial for this. Every other week we began to try to adopt ‘the new part’ which was a lighter side of myself that allowed me to not only be more positive but lower my levels of anxiety and intrinsically motivate myself. A set of actions after each session were constructed by both me and Sarah, which took place in order to make incremental changes in my life day by day. This process is not accomplished in a short amount of time, but if you keep working with yourself and for yourself, Sarah can help you realign your priorities and give you the keys to your own kingdom. Sarah was inquisitive, informative, and interesting throughout the process and was an active listener who thrived to help people. I strongly advise looking into life-coaching, and there’s no one better than Sarah!”

“Sarah is a very wise, skilled and compassionate life coach. With sensitivity, humour and kindness she guided me through the process and helped me reach my goals. Of equal value, she also helped me to reflect when my motivation to complete certain actions was low. I found the process life affirming and it has significantly changed how I spend my time and how I feel about my life.”

“I am a healthcare professional and was fortunate to be offered the services of Sarah during the covid pandemic. Despite all that was going on each and very session made me feel important and allowed time for me as a person and a professional rather than someone in a position that required a covid related response. We were able to discuss longstanding and more recent issues and the insights I gained are hugely valuable. Sarah was very perceptive in identifying issues that affected me and got just the right balance of being supportive but challenging to enable me to really ‘see’ myself and make changes to my reactions in my personal and professional life. Some of her ‘golden nuggets’, (little phrases to remember), I will use forever and have already shared with family, friends and colleagues.”

“You must do this. This has helped create a sense of calm and peace in myself. It has made me stop and think before I react and made me realise where I am happiest and calm. Sarah is great to work with, very open and easy to talk to and very uplifting. This has been so worthwhile… and I have learnt so much about myself and been able to build on that too.”

“Your ability to be ‘real’ helped me to feel safe and be able to share in an environment where I did not feel judged. Not only that but we were able to laugh, a very important element of therapy/coaching in my opinion and certainly that was an important part for me. I don’t know if that is your style or you were very in tune with who I am and was able to adapt, either way the coaching relationship felt comfortable, natural and supportive.
You had an innate ability to see beyond what I presented and in times when my mind was clouded with past triggered traumas, when I was reacting from fear instead of a place of balance; you provided me with a clear objective view. You comfortably kept our sessions on track keeping in mind that I would be setting goals at the end. There were times I didn’t know what I wanted to work on or even if there would be a goal at the end but due to your ability to stay on track and facilitate my progression I feel I achieved more goals that we had originally set.
Having now had both counselling and life coaching I can see the different roles they would play in my life and I am happy that I now have you as a life coach to contact when I am struggling to set goals or move forward with life.
Having finished my work with you, I feel stronger, more balanced and more able to stay on track with my goals and understand my reactions when certain situations present themselves. As a result, I have already made huge steps forward with my future plans without fear or doubt regarding my choices.”

“Sarah took me through 18 sessions of coaching over a 9-month period to help me through a time of transition where my partner was known to be terminally ill and died.
Whilst not specifically for grief, the coaching was aimed at supporting me over this time and looking at how I was managing myself overall with the death of my partner and other things that life was throwing at me over this period. Dealing with preparing for death, death and life after my partner’s death was part of the work and leaves me in a stronger position than before.
In addition, all bereavement group support through usual channels was cancelled due to Covid so the anchor of this coaching gave me the one constant that I could rely on. By simply switching to Video Coaching we continued as before.
As a person, Sarah is clear on the role and function of coaching and its relationship alongside therapy or bereavement counselling and this means that she offers a pragmatic, human down to earth approach. She held unlimited belief in me and the power of this cannot be underestimated.
A big thank you and pleasure working with you.”

“I spent 6 months consulting Sarah over 6 hourly sessions and found the process really useful and thought provoking. Sarah is a great listener, so it was excellent to sound ideas with her out loud. Her questions were well placed and enabled me to refine and direct my ideas and direction. Furthermore, she also (something I found particularly helpful) was able to provide some context and constructs to “hang” my ideas on which helped them make more sense. I feel that I made progress during those months with Sarah: the 4-weekly meetings provided external deadlines to work towards and get things done – this worked really well for me. I wish her all the best in the future and a very successful and rewarding career in coaching.”
Nick:
“I started sessions with Sarah knowing that I had areas I wanted to improve and opportunities I needed to resolve but was unsure how to. Sarah was excellent in her guidance – helping to identify topics, unpack issues and plan actions whilst keeping the focus on the goal of each session. She works with great sensibility and pragmatism, ensuring that even challenging topics were made to feel manageable – which is no mean feat. A series of tasks of different scales meant the topics we had discussed within sessions could be put into practise throughout the coaching period. Sarah helped to bring a clarity to complex subjects and by the end of the sessions I felt prepared, focused and energised.”
Rona:
“Sarah was the first life coach I have been to and I had a really good experience with her during our sessions. She is a naturally friendly person who was respectful, thoughtful and kept the pace and support of the sessions consistently enjoyable and focused. She always gave decision making to me and helped me with my decision making by summarizing and at times making helpful suggestions about how I could approach issues. She is personable and professional and brought interesting ideas to my sessions which opened my mind to possibilities. Sarah has a good memory for detail and this alongside her natural empathy and understanding nature. Since seeing Sarah, I have felt happier and have a stronger sense of agency in my life which is serving me very well. Thank you, Sarah!”
