Background
I have lived in Brighton since 1995, working as a Secondary School Teacher, bringing up my daughter and enjoying life by the seaside!
Like many people in their middle age, I wanted a change. I wanted to use the skills I’d developed and the experiences I had gained over time, in a new and different way. Coaching seemed to fit the bill. When I was teaching, I loved developing positive relationships with students and motivating them and now I can do this with my clients, as their coach.
I help people of all ages and backgrounds find out what it is they want to do and need to do to feel happier, more fulfilled with their lives. This might include tackling feelings of being ‘stuck’, or of low self esteem after a challenging time. Some clients might want to explore how they are using their leisure time, whilst others
might want support as they embrace a new role at work. The topics are endless! My role is to listen without prejudice and to help clients set goals so that they can move forward.
I am also able to coach teenagers through what can be a bewildering and stressful period of their lives, as they try to navigate their way through school, college and beyond. Coaching sessions can help this age group to:
• Alleviate and manage mild anxiety and worry
• Develop useful time management and study skills
• Take responsibility and set achievable and realistic goals
• Build more self-confidence and resilience.

When I’m not coaching I love to sing in a local choir. This is a great way to socialise and lift the spirits! Another area of my life that gives me joy is sea swimming. I try to go daily until the ocean tells me otherwise! Having been coached myself, I’m much more aware of the need to build some joy and fun in to my life. We all need to feed our souls in these challenging times!
